Dicuil
Dicuil is an Irish geographer of the 9th century.
It was a monk left Luxeuil. It composed a treaty Of will mensura Orbis terrae , published by Charles-Athanase Walckenaër, Paris, 1807 (text alone), and by Antoine Jean Letronne in 1814, with scientists comments. This work made it possible to fix the time of discovered of the Iceland and the Faroe Islands, and that of the rupture of the channel between the the Nile and the Red Sea.
