Denis Bouchard (linguist)

Denis Bouchard is a Professor and linguist Québécois.

He studied with the Massachusetts Institute off Technology (MIT), where he obtained a pH. Linguistic D. in , 1982. Noam Chomsky was there the director of its thesis One the Content off Empty Categories .

He then taught at the universities of Ottawa, the Texas and the Florida before becoming professor at the Department of linguistics and didactic of the languages of UQAM in 1988.

Its fields of research are the syntactic Théorie, the Syntaxe of French and the compared Syntaxe of the Romance Langues.

He was also vice-president and president of the Canadian Association of linguistics.
