Death Notes

is a Manga of Takeshi Obata (drawings) and Tsugumi Ōba (scenario) published with the Japan in 2004.

Published in France at Dargaud Lombard (Kana) since January 2007, it is entirely appeared with the Japan in the Weekly Shōnen Jump and in the form of Tankōbon . That represents twelve volumes, that is to say 108 chapters.

The manga was adapted to the Cinéma, in the shape of three films in real catches of sight, carried out by Shusuke Kaneko:

A Animates carried out by the Studio Madhouse and cash 37 episodes was diffused in Japan of the October 3rd 2006 with the June 26th 2007 on NTV.

Summary of the history

, seventeen years, collects by chance a notebook entitled Death Note , object which comes from the world of the gods of death. By writing the name of a person in this notebook, one causes the death of this person after having waited 40 seconds (it is necessary to know the face of this person). Light, which finds corrupted the world in which he lives, sees a unique opportunity there to remove the beings malfaisants. However, the Death Note was voluntarily abandoned by, a Shinigami (god of dead) which is bored. It appears in Light, explains certain functions of the notebook to him and remains with him to see what it will do. Light then decides to kill all the criminals in the world.

Only, while killing out of the criminals, it becomes one about it itself. In front of many unexplained deaths of criminals throughout the world, Interpol receives the assistance of the mysterious L, true “detective joker” able to solve any enigma, but of which nobody knows neither the face nor the name. Between Light and L, both persuaded to act for the Justice, starts a true combat, and a track race for the identity of Kira (pseudonym given to Light Yagami by the media), the unknown killer.

Personnages of Death Notes

is the main character of the history. Born one February 28th, 1986, it measures 179 cm for 54 kg, blood group: A. Kira (from the Japanese transcription of killer comes) is the name given by the media to that which kills the criminals. Actually there are 5 of them: Light is the first, Misa the second, Higuchi the third and Mikami the fourth. The last is Takeda Kiyomi, a journalist who is Kira while Mikami made pretense be it. Higuchi is in the center of a machination imagined by Light. When Light and Misa are again supervised, Light will make so that new Kira is born by giving him a Death Note ; it is about Mikami Teru, young prosecutor who regards Kira as a god. The capture of Kira is in the center of this manga.

, of its true name " Nate River" (or NR ) is the true successor of L, high in a special orphanage. It is younger and has as a mania to reflect by handling toys. It assied curiously on the chairs (a little like its predecessor). Its goal will become to inflict a defeat with Kira more than to put it except circuit (in other words to uncover it in front of those which it misled).

, of its true name Mihael Keehl is the rival of Near, he always eats chocolate, and trails in the motor bike with his friend Matt (according to the How to Read 13 , he was the 3ère predisposed to become L.). He will work with the Maffia to try to have an advantage on Near. He will once escape dead, becoming partly disfigured.

is a mysterious character and the odd-job man L, which is in fact an inventor who uses his fortune to maintain the orphanages. He created some to find geniuses which could replace L .

Takada Kiyomi is a journalist, that Light knew at the university of Todaï. Misa regards it as a rival. She is devoted to Kira. Later in the manga, it will become the spokesperson, of “third Kira”.
