David Armstrong-Jones

David, Albert, Charles Armstrong-Jones , Linley Viscount, were born the November 3rd 1961. He is a British family member royal.

Royal relationship

He is the son of the princess Margaret of the United Kingdom († 2002), and of Anthony Armstrong-Jones (born in 1930), Lord Snowdon, 1st count of Snowdon.

He is the nephew of the queen Elisabeth II, and the brother of Lady Sarah Chatto.

He is currently 12th in the Order of succession with the British throne.

Titulature

In accordance with the rules of the English aristocracy, it carries the Titer of courtesy of Viscount Linley , which is the second title of his/her father.

Its usual titulature is Lord Linley . His/her children are entitled to the title Honorable , and will be Lord and Lady in their turn when David inherits the title of count de Snowdon of his father, with died of this one.

Family and descent

He married Honourable Serena Stanhope, an Irish aristocrat, the October 8th 1993. Of this union are resulting  :

  • the Honourable Charles Patrick Inigo Armstrong-Jones (born on July 1st 1999). 13th in the Order of succession with the British throne

  • Honourable Margarita Elizabeth Alleyne Armstrong-Jones (born the May 14th 2002). 14th in the Order of succession with the British throne

Let us note that since the remarriage of prince Charles, among the first 17 applicants with the Britannique throne, Lord Linley is currently the only one with being married with an aristocrat.

Activities

The Linley Viscount, under the name of David Linley, is creator of contemporary pieces of furniture. In 1985, it opened a shop in the district of Chelsea to London to sell its creations.

Since 2006, he is the director of Christie' S in London.

Lord Linley was a long time a figure of the London Jet-set, and the target of the Paparazzi.
