Darlington is an English city located at the north of the country. The limits of this Borough were modified in 1974 by fastening with the urban borough of Darlington of the rural districts surrounding the city. Before 1997, this city belonged to the County of Durham, but since April 1st 1997 it depends on the unit authority of Darlington.

Darlington is at two hours forty of London by the East Coast Main Line.
