Danske Statsbaner ( DSB ) is the name of the national company of the railroads Danish. State enterprise, the DSB are in charge of the exploitation of services of passenger transport on most of the Danish rail network, whose management was entrusted at an public agency, Banedanmark.

The DSB were created in 1885 by the fusion of the railroads of Zeeland (government enterprise) and company of Funen and Jutland.

The 1999, the DSB were reorganized in four divisions:

  • DSB Intercity (Movement of travellers broad outlines)
  • DSB Regio (Regional trains)
  • DSB S Tog (Services of suburbs in the agglomeration of Copenhagen and its periphery)
  • DSB Gods (goods transport)

In the service travellers, DSB is competed with in particular by Arriva, railway company British. The service of goods transport, previously assured by DSB Gods, were taken again the 2001 by a subsidiary company of the Deutsche Bahn, Railion.
