Daniel " Danny" Guthrie was born on April 18th 1987 in Shrewsbury, in England. It is a young defensive medium, which evolves/moves in the juinor team of Liverpool. Currently in loan in Southampton, it proved to be during the season 2006-2007, to be the player member of the junior team of Liverpool, more used by Rafael Benitez at the time of the matches of the professional team.

Formed until the old one of 15ans by the team of Manchester United, and left free, Liverpool benefitted from the occasion and integrated it into its junior team. He is also called by the supporters Reds, " new the Steven Gerrard ".

March 2nd 2007, Southampton, in Championship (equivalent of the second division) request with Liverpool, a loan of an emergency defensive medium. Liverpool is agree to leave them Danny until the end of the season, to let it aguérir itself.
