Daniel Wilson , born the March 6th 1840 with Paris, dead the February 13rd 1919 with Loaches, is a Politician French.

Resulting from a very fortunate family, he is the son of Daniel Wilson (death in 1849), British engineer who made fortune in the forging mills of the Creusot and lighting with gas of Paris, and of Antoinette-Henriette Casenave (dead in 1843), resulting from a family from magistrates and members of Parliament.

Having lost his parents early, it is placed until in 1861 under the supervision of his uncle, Antoine Mathieu Casenave, vice-president of the county court of the Seine. In September 1861, it is proceeded to the division of the heritage of his parents between his sister, Marguerite Pelouze, and him. It receives 3 franc million, a private mansion 26-28 Rue of Game preserve, the field of Bellevue (121 hectares) with Ruffec (Normandy) and the Château of Écoublay (312 hectares), close to Coulommiers (Seine-et-Marne), which it will sell in 1879.

In May 1869, Wilson, under the radical label, beats the deputy of the third district of Indre-et-Loire and mayor of Turns Ernest Mame, notable resulting from the orleanism and rejoined with the Empire. It used for that a newspaper which it founded, liberal Union , and received the whole crowd and of the republican opposition to the Château of Chenonceaux, whose his/her sister acquired. At the legislative Body, it sits on the left, with the partisans of Gambetta. He is re-elected in 1871. Appointed Loaches (Indre-et-Loire) in 1876, it is re-elected in 1877 and remains appointed until in 1889. With Loaches, it buys a spinning mill and the Château of Montains.

Passing for one protected from Leon Say, it is named under-secretary of State to finances.

He marries, on October 22nd 1881, with the Elys3ee palace, Alice Grévy, girl of Jules Grévy, president of the Republic of 1879 with 1887. He has as witnesses Jules Ferry, then president of the council, and Pierre Magnin, Minister for Finance. Jules Grévy is the lover of the sister of Wilson, Marguerite Pelouze. Besides the reception of marriage will take place with the Château of Chenonceaux.

The couple will have three girls:

• Marguerite-Coralie-Julie-Henriette-Marie (viscountess Gerard de Kergariou);

• Jeanne-Alice-Marie (baroness Laurent Cherry);
• Suzanne-Helene.

In Paris, it settles then in a very vast private mansion 2 which occurred of Iéna (angle of the avenue Albert-of-Mun, destroyed today).

It is implied in the Scandale of decorations which involves the resignation of his/her father-in-law in 1887. After a violent press campaign, the House of Commons authorizes, on November 17th, 1887, the opening of an legal action against Wilson. Wilson is condemned to two years of prison on February 23rd, 1888, but it appeals, is discharged, and is made re-elect appointed in 1893 and 1898.
