Biography
Daniel Way is resulting from the independent circuit, and prize winner of the price Xérix Grant (a foundation which helps the scenario writers car-to be published) for his comic Violent Lifestyle .In 2003, when Joe Quesada wants to make his 100 Bullets , it produces Gun Theory at Marvel Comics /Epic (transitory return of the famous label creator-owned, of which the series belong to their creators). The mini-series, however limited to 4 episodes, written by Daniel Way and drawn by Jon Proctor, will not exceed the two first. It is cancelled (rather rare thing for a series in 4 episodes).
It rebounds, always with Alex Alonso and Quesada, but this time in the collection max of Marvel (label for adults: sex and blood). One proposes the relaunch of a very secondary character to him of which the rights cinematographic have just been sold with Artisan Films (they belong today to Paramount): Deathlock (the cyborg of the Marvel universe).
Way works there with Darick Robertson. The visual ones are carried out, Way returns a version of its script ( Deathlock: Turning , account ultra-violent one or the cyborg make team with an handicapped child who controls it), and there Marvel stops the project. Announced for 2003, then deferred to 2004, these minis disappear completely.
