Daniel Michael Blake Day-Lewis (born the April 29th 1957) is a British actor .
Although he was born with London, he has an Irish passport from his father, the poet Cecil Day-Lewis. His/her mother, Jill Balcony, are also actress and the girl of Sir Michael Balcon, director of the Ealing studios.
Daniel Day-Lewis with the reputation to devote itself completely to the characters whom it incarnates. After its beginnings with the theater with Bristol, it accepted its first role (figuration) with the cinema in 1971 in Sunday Bloody Sunday . It turned over then on the boards to Bristol and in London and in any film until in 1982 did not play, date on which it appears in Gandhi .

Daniel Day-Lewis is married with the actress and director Rebecca Miller, girl of Inge Morath and Arthur Miller. They live in Ireland with their two sons. It also has a son born of its relation with the French actress Isabelle Adjani.
