Daniel Cohen is a economist French born on June 16th 1953, professor of economy to the National university and Paris I and with the École of saving in Paris, director of the Center For Economic Research and its Applications (CEPREMAP), leader-writer with the Monde and organizer of a radio broadcast on France-Culture.

According to the list stopped at November 11th, 2003, he is member of the scientific Committee of orientation of association On the left in Europe, founded by Michel Rocard and Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
