Around film

Dakan means " destin" in Malinké.

Dakan is the very first African film to approach the topic of the Homosexualité. Through this film, I tried to say that the love remains eternal in spite of the difficulties which the company imposes on in love one. Homo or not! It is for me a way of paying homage to those which like and express their love as they feel it.

The film was presented to the Quinzaine the realizers to the Cannes festival 1997. It made 1930 entries in rooms in France.
