The cut of the nations (known previously under the name of Deutschland Cup ) is a competition of Hockey which takes place in Germany each year during the month of November. The competition changed name since the edition 2005 to become TUI Nations Cup , TUI having become the principal sponsor.

The competition takes place in the skating rink TUI Arena of Hannover.

The team of the United States is made up players evolving/moving either in the university championship (NCAA), or in the international leagues or in ECHL.
