The cross-country race-over (which one could imperfectly translate by “crossing-over”) is a Anglicisme which applies to several fields, inter alia, with the music, the cartoon, with the video games, the televised series and technology.

In Biology

In Genetic, the cross-country race-over indicates, at the time of the Méiose, the exchange of bits of DNA between the branch of the Chromosome S of the same pair.

This exchange is an important component of diversity in the Procréation.
