The Crni Timok , in Serb Cyrillic ЦрниТимок (the " Timok noir"), is a river of Serbia. It is also known under the name of Crna reka (into Cyrillic: Црнарека, " the river noire") or under that of Krivovirski Timok (into Cyrillic: КривовирскиТимок , the " Timok de Krivi Vir"). Its length is of 84 km. It is thrown in the Beli Timok and forms with him the Veliki Timok (the " large Timok") or more simply the Timok.

Crni Timok takes its source on the septentrional slope of the mount Veliki Maljenik, in the area of Kučaj. It runs close to the village of Krivi Vir and generally continues its race towards the North-East, running through Crnorečka kotlina (into Cyrillic: Црноречкакотлина, the " depression off Crna Reka") who shelters many villages like Valakonje, Savinac, Selište or Zvezdan.

In its valley also the archeological site of Gamzigrad is, going up with the Roman Empire. After a race of 84 km, Crni Timok reached Zaječar, where it is thrown in the Beli Timok, then forming with him the Veliki Timok.

In its race, it receives on its line water of the Radovanska reka (into Cyrillic: Радованскарека) and, later, always on its line, that of the Zlotska reka , the Jasenova reka and the Banjska reka . These three affluents, coming from the mine field and industrial of Bor, pollute Crni Timok.
