Crash of 1873

The crash occurred the May 9th 1873 with the purse of Vienna, in Austria, opens the period known as of the “great stagnation” of the worldwide economy between 1873 and 1896.

An unrestrained speculation, carried out with very weak deposits, is turned over when the World Fair of 1873 economically appears in fact being disappointing. The fall of the courses is transmitted in Germany and to the the United States.
