Crapauduc
A Crapauduc or batrachoduc is a écoduc intended to generally connect two zones between them so that the Amphibien S or batrachians can circulate of the one with the other, while passing under an obstacle (wall, road, highway or railway). They are expensive installations to pose to try enrailler the Déclin of the populations of Amphibians. They are often built within the framework of compensatory measures, continuations with the impact studies before construction of new ways.
The crapauducs are placed so as to restore the continuity of an ecological corridor which was stopped or to constitute new. Their effectiveness must be tested regularly and supplemented by installations: nettings with fine mesh, plastic barrier, entered in funnel, etc They belong to the family of the artificial biological corridors or écoducs and take part in the ecological mending of meshes of the territory, of the local scales with planet gear.
