The county of Pulaski ( in Pulaski County ) is a county of the Missouri to the the United States. The seat of the county is located at Waynesville. The county goes back to 1833 and it was named in homage to a Polish patriotic soldier of the name of Kazimierz Pułaski. With the census of 2000, the population consisted of: 41165 individuals. The military base of Fort Leonard Wood is in the county.

According to the Office of the census of the United States, the county adds up a surface of: 1428 km ² including 11 km ² of watery surfaces.

Demography

According to the census of 2000, on: 41165 inhabitants, one found: 13433 households and: 9953 families in the county. The population density was of 29 inhabitants per km ² and the density of dwellings (: 15408 on the whole) was of 11 dwellings per km ². The population was made up of 78,35% of white, of 11,99% Afro-Americans, 1,00% of Amerindians and 2,27% the Asian ones.

42,30% of the households had children of less than 18 years, 60,6% were married couples. 27,5% of the population had less than 18 years, 16,6% between 18 and 24 years, 32,0% between 25 and 44 years, 15,9% between 45 and 64 years and 7,9% above 65 years. The Middle Age was 28 years. The proportion of women was of 100 per 96,2 men.

The average revenue of a household was of: 34247 dollars.
