Countryside of the three antis

The countryside of the three antis is a purification campaign launched by the Chinese Communist party in 1951.

Context

This countryside takes seat in the middle of a series of three campaigns:

  1. the “countryside to eliminate the counter-revolutionaries” launched in October 1950 and lasts one year;
  2. the countryside of the three antis, launched fine 1951;
  3. the Countryside of the five antis, launched in January 1952.

Aiming

The three targets (“antis”) of this countryside are:

  1. the embezzlement;
  2. wasting;
  3. “bureaucracy”.

Behind these posted objectives, the principal goal is to found terror among the population.
