Country of Kid

The country of Kid is a small country of the south-west of the department of the Landes, consisted of the Barthe S facing the Basque Country on Right Bank of the Adour, and the reliefs marking the elbow of Adour vis-a-vis the Pays of Orthe. It is bordered in the North-West of the country of Seignanx with which it forms today the Communauté of communes of Seignanx.

Etymology

The name of Gosse comes from the Basque goiti , goiz : “in height”.
