Count de Worcester
The title of count de Worcester was created several times in the Pairie of England. Nowadays, the title is a subsidiary title held by the Duc of Beaufort.
The town of Worcester is located in the Worcestershire, in the west of the England.
History of the title
The king Etienne of England created it the first time during the English civil war known as the English Anarchie, for Galéran IV of Meulan, Count de Meulan, a family member De Beaumont, one of his principal supports in the conflict for the crown of England.
The November 2nd 1642, Henry Somerset, the 5th count was created Marquis de Worcester for his assistance in the restoration of the king Charles II. Since the title of count is carried more only as a title of courtesy.

- 1138 - 1153 : Galéran IV of Meulan († 1166), Count de Meulan.
The second creation (1375)
- 1375 - 1403 : Thomas Percy (1343 - 1403).

- 1514 - 1526 : Charles Somerset († 1526) ;
- 1526 - 1549 : Henry Somerset († 1549) ;
- 1549 - 1588 : William Somerset († 1589) ;

- 1627 - 1646 : Henry Somerset († 1646), created Marquis de Worcester in 1642.
