The cooking is a product of Entretien used by the violin makers to clean the String instruments.
When he is regularly played, an instrument is dirtied: fatty traces, layers of Rosin solidified… A dry rag makes it possible to clean the Poussière which settles on an instrument, but not really to maintain it. With this intention, the Luthier employs the cooking, which enables him to clean the instrument all while ensuring a finished and alive aspect to him.
