Conurbation

Etymology

Word formed starting from two Latin elements, cum , which mean with , and urbs which means city. It is thus a “town suit”.

Since the end of the year 1990, many municipalities were made up starting from conurbations. Among those, one can quote:

Nice - Cannes - Fatty - Antibes known as urban Espace Nice-Coast-in Azur is 90% of the the Alpes-Maritimes 1.197.751 inhabitants.
