Control on the city ( the mani sulla città ) is an Italian film produced and carried out by Francesco Rosi in 1963.

Synopsis

Under the impulse of the Nottola contractor, the municipality of Naples transforms agricultural land into constructible grounds. The speculators build without precaution and the building site causes the collapse of an old house and deaths. This drama taking place little before the municipal elections, the debates make rage in the majority which seeks with évincer Nottola while the opposition, carried out by the communist adviser De Vita, pushes with the creation of a board of inquiry.

In spite of the pressures of all shares, this commission is created and will try to identify the responsibilities.
