Continental bank of Luxembourg

The Bank continental of Luxembourg (BCL or “Conti”) was the property of Nadhmi Auchi, billionaire anglo-Iraqi. The continental Banque of Luxembourg was control jointly by Nadhmi Auchi and Paribas until 1994. In 1994, Nadhmi Auchi sold its shares with Paribas, which sold this credit in 1996. KBL is owner for 100%.

Accounts of African leaders and Saddam Hussein

The Banque continental of Luxembourg (BCL or “Conti”) counted among its customers several African leaders: Bokassa, Houphouët-Boigny, the Colonel Kadhafi, the colonel Mobutu and the Congolese Jean-Pierre Bemba.

According to a disputed report/ratio of the ambassador of Belgium in Luxembourg, the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein would have also held an account in the “Conti”.
