Conquet is a common department of the Finistere, in the area Brittany, in France. Its name comes from Konk (bay, handle in Breton)

History
Lochrist (known as Treff de Lochrist Plouconvelen in 1527) is undoubtedly a foundation of the Templiers or Hospitaliers of Midsummer's Day of Jerusalem.The prosperity of Conquet is due to its port located in the handle of Poulconq (Poulconquet in 1398). The old village of Conquet was created on the territory of Lochrist in 1790 after the dismemberment of the old parish of Plougonvelin.

Fishing port
