Cognitive anthropology
Definition
Borrowed from P.Boyer, (Foreword with " The religion like phenomenon naturel". Trad.franç. Bayard 1997)
" The study of the cognitive processes makes it possible to reformulate many traditional anthropological problems by giving the possibility of putting forth more precise assumptions on the acquisition and the transmission of the representations culturelles."
Thus described, cognitive anthropology is based on the results of the cognitive Psychologie to give an additional lighting to the ethnology, in particular in the social and religious field.
