Code place-function

The code place-function or Global Hiring Number (GLN) of a company is a single identifier allotted by the local antenna of GS1 (there are local antennas in more than one hundred country). It is with digital form of a EAN 13. Its first figures are the code country. The following figures are structured on the initiative of the national organization of coding. The thirteenth one and last figure is, as for any EAN13, the Clé of control. In France, GS1 France decided to structure the central part in the following way: the code country (3 for France) is followed from 01 (supplier) or 02 (distributer), then CNUF of the company, follow-up of an internal code chosen by the company to differentiate its different place-functions.
