Climate of the Batch

Because of its geographical position, the Quercy is subject to two opposite climatic influences, which play a part in the degree of conservation of the vestiges. If the north of the department knows a more mountain climate related to the proximity of the Massif Central, the south undergoes a more moderate climate. White Quercy, supports the direct influences of the Aquitanian Bassin and the valley of the Garonne, in turn oceanic, continental and Mediterranean, according to the seasons.

The department of the Batch is not particularly been windy. Generally, the speed of the wind does not exceed 10 km/h. The wind of Southerly wind, the wind of North and the winds continental blow however on the area and exert influences which are clean for them on Quercy Blanc. The white Southerly wind, heat and dryness coming from the Mediterranean, the black Southerly wind of rainy Spain, the wind of the north which brings one dry good weather, and finally the dry and cold winds of west, support a climatic diversity.
