Clifford Whetstone sheath
Clifford Whetstone sheath (born the February 10th 1870 - deceased the February 4th 1959) Military British.
When the First World War bursts, it is 47 years old and is temporarily general sergeant with the head of the Corps of the royal Engineers and égalemant ordering 25th brigade of infantry. It receives Victoria Cross.
July 31st, 1917 with Westhoek in Belgium, it goes close to the line of fire to inspect the various stations. In spite of the heavy fire of the Machine-guns and rifles, it goes close to its men, passing from shell hole in shell hole. Its action reinforced moral soldiers.
It finished the war with the rank of Major general.
