Citroen B14

The B14 “Any Steel” is presented to the Living room of October 1926. It represents a decisive technological advance compared to B12.
Le frame is reduced, the engine is more flexible and the brake with the foot acts now on the four wheels.

In March 1927, B14 becomes B14F with Frein S assisted by servo Westinghouse. Top speed reaches 80 kilometers per hour. The range of body is wide since the catalog of the time proposes:

  • the torpedo (4 open doors with hood) in versions series, luxury and commercial,
  • the sedan (4 doors, 6 ices and trunk) in series, half-luxury and luxury,
  • the truck (4 doors, 4 ices and trunk) in series and half-luxury,
  • the family one (4 doors, 6 ices and trunk) luxates of it
  • the coach (2 doors, 4 places) in series and luxury
  • the Cabriolet (2 doors, 2,3 or 4 places) in capotable or not convertible (or the false-convertible)
  • the half-compartment of city
  • the taxi in sedan, landaulet and sedan landaulet
  • the Norman (utility open)

With the Salon 1927 appears the model B14G whose silhouette was refined. Family supplements the range.

Features:

  • straight-4 engine, 1.539 cubic centimeters with Boring - race of 70x100 millimetres giving 22 real horses to 2.300 turns by minute.
    Les Soupape S are side and cooling with water without pompe.
    Allumage with fixed advance by magneto or voltex and battery 6 V-60 A/h.
    Carburateur Solex 26HBFG - 26GHF (B14) or 26BFHG (B14F & B14G).
  • box at 3 not synchronized speeds and Brake S with drums with power-control with servo (B14F & B14G). Maximum speed 80km/H.
  • Tire 13x45 Michelin Superconfort.

This model met a rather great success taking into account its competitive price compared to competition (22 600 francs for the truck or the sedan “half-luxury”).
