the church Saint-Thomas-with Aquin is a church located in the 7th district of Paris.

History

  • 1632 : Construction of a Vault of the Dominican S with the angle of the street of the Vat and way of the cows.

  • 1682 : Construction of the current church, in the fields of the architect Pierre Bullet. The church is devoted in 1683, under the name of Saint-Dominique church.

  • 1722 : Construction of the chorus of the monks, today Saint-Louis vault.

  • Of 1735 with 1739: Construction of the noviciate of the Dominican , still called Jacobins (their first house was street Saint-Jacob).

  • 1791 : The church of the convent is set up in parish and is placed under the patronage of Thomas d' Aquin.

  • 1797 : The church, temple of Peace, are conceded in the “Théophilanthropes”, then with the Club of the Jacobin S.

  • 1802 : The church is returned to the catholic worship in following the Concordat.

  • 1804 (December 26th): The pope Pie VII celebrates the mass in the church Saint-Thomas-with Aquin.
