Chuck Grassley

Charles Ernest " Chuck" Grassley (born in 1933) is an American politician, member of the Republican party and senator of the Iowa to the Congrès of the United States since 1981.

Chuck Grassley was born the September 17th 1933 in New Hartford, Iowa and is graduate university of Northern Iowa in 1956.

Of 1959 with 1974, he is member of the room of the representatives of Iowa.

Of 1975 with 1981, it is one of the elected officials of Iowa to the Chambre of the Representatives of the United States.

In 1980, it is elected senator of Iowa and beats the outgoing senator democratic John Culver. He is re-elected in 1986, 1992, 1998 and 2004, year when he obtains 70% of the voices compared with 28% with his democratic opponent Art Small.

Grassley is the president of the committee of supply of the senate since 2003.

Grassley is member of a Baptist group which organizes breakfasts of prayer. He is also member of freemasonry.
