Chronicles of the wild Earth

the Chronicles of the wild ground are a series of documentary of which each part is on a different continent. Animals are followed there during several months in order to observe their behaviors, their experiments and the tests which they meet. To information concerning the animals themselves, the comment and the images add a highlighting of their habitat while being interested in the seasons and the climatic phenomena which accompany them and the influence of the man, while detailing the ecosystems and the vegetable structures of the areas. In ten years (between 1993 and until the beginning of the year 2000), the Chronicles of the wild ground traversed the Africa, then the Amazonia, the Australia, the Asia and finally the North America.

Présentation

One of the specific aspects of these chronicles is that they make animals of the characters without scénariser the film. The number of animals followed for each documentary turns around ten (if one excludes the herds which count for a character), each one having a name and his own history. Turned in a geographical space defined well, the films often give place to meetings between the studied animals (male and female, predatory and prey, territorial competition, etc) which make it possible to confront the lifestyles of the species by analyzing the food modes, the degrees of sedentarisation, the habitats particular (trees, water, plains, mountains, etc), the power struggles and the places in the ecosystems (hunters, vultures, parasites, etc).

Without wanting it, the Chronicles of the wild ground tell stories rich in bounces and unforeseen.

The richnesses of the image, the use of an often melody music which sometimes is used as environment and sometimes adhesive with the images, as well as the clearness and the depth of the comment make these documentary at the same time instrument of pure discovery of fauna and flora, documents scientific taking care to explain and detail the remarks (reproduction, drives out, plays, behaviors, migrations, etc) and of the original films vectors of emotions.

Respectful of nature, the teams carrying out films never intervene in the events and let express the beauty as well as the cruelty of the animal world while delivering an ecological message calling protection of the species and with the safeguarding of their habitats.

History

Zucco and Calhoa, both Jaguar S, divide the same territory of the Amazon forest. Less good fisherman than Calhoa, Zucco loses his preys in water and it happens that Calhoa finds them before him. In the play as, Zucco is less skilful as his/her partner, and each part sees it losing. During this time, Luana, the female Lazy, feels that it soon will be time to give the life. History

The tiger Pra Djann has just put its small at the world. Tcha is weakest and, forsaken a little, it will have to fight if it wants to live. The Stork S, on their side, watch for the Cobra S which have just been born while Wa, the elephant E, carries out its herd to the river.

Ten days passed and Dara, a elephant E moves away from its herd. It is agitated, balanced, seemed not to know what to make and ends up supporting its body a tree. Whereas the rain season arrives, the Macaque S are refreshed by seeking water in the hollows of the rocks.
