Christmas tree of Rockefeller Center

The Christmas tree of Rockefeller Center is one of the most famous Christmas trees of the the United States. It is set up each year at the end of November on the esplanade of the Rockefeller Center of New York. The setting in light is retransmise besides on the chain NBC, of which the seat is located in the GE Building, highest Gratte-ciel of the complex . To set up the 30 000 illuminations of the fir tree, and the eight kilometers of electric cables, a scaffolding is each year assembled around the tree. The current star which decorates the top of the fir tree since 2004 2,9 meters is high, and weighs 250 kilos.

Once the festivals of end of the year passed, the tree is recycled, and used in several fields, in particular to make Paillis, but also to manufacture the Haie S of the United States Equestrian TEAM (equestrian team of the the United States).
