Christ carrying her cross

Christ carrying her cross is a wood sculpture of natural size, chief of work of the sculptor Ligier Richier (about 1500-1567). It belonged to a way of cross raised in the cemetery of the convent of Clarisses, with Pont-à-Mousson, by Philippe de Gueldre woman of Rene II, duke of Lorraine.

It appeared in Paris, in 1948, with other works of the Master, with the exposure of the chiefs of Lorraine Alsatian works of art and to the palate of the Louvre, house of Marson.
