Chipewyan

The Chipewyans are native-born people of the Canada. They live in the artic regions around the Hudson Bay, including the Manitoba, the Territoires of the North-West, and Nunavut. The group also lives parts of the north of the Alberta and Saskatchewan. They belonged to the nations which were called themselves “Dene” (" peuple").
The language chipewyan belongs to the linguistic group athapascan.
In spite of the surface resemblance their names, Chipewyans are not related with the Chippewa S or Ojibway.
