China Eastern Airlines
China Eastern Airlines (in Chinese: 中国东方航空) (Code AITA: DRIVEN ; Code ICAO: THESE ) is a Chinese Airline company , based with Shanghai, the 2nd more big city in China.
It serves in particular Munich, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, Los Angeles.
Its fleet includes/understands Airbus A300, Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Airbus A340, Boeing 737, and McDonnell Douglas MD-11.
It is the only company to exploit a Airbus A340-600 in France.
History
Clouded Yunnan Airlines and China Northwest Airlines amalgamated with China Eastern Airlines in 2002.
Incidents and Accidents
- the August 15th 1989, a flight China Eastern of Shanghai to Nanchang, ensured by a Antonov Year-24 (reg. B-3417) was crushed on takeoff, following a failure of the No.2 engine, killing 34 of the 40 people on board.

the October 26th 1993, the flight China Eastern 5398 of Shenzhen to Fuzhou, ensured by a McDonnell-Douglas MD-82 (reg. B-2103) was crushed near the airport of Fuzhou, after an attempt at failed approach, killing 2 of the 80 people on board.

the September 10th 1998, the flight China Eastern 586 of Shanghai in Beijing, ensured by a large-carrier McDonnell-Douglas MD-11 (reg. B-2173) was damaged with the landing with the international airport Shanghai Hongqiao because of a failure of piping. There no were casualties.

the November 21st 2004, the flight China Eastern 5210 of Baotou to Shanghai, ensured by a Bombardier CRJ-200 (reg. B-3072) was crushed in Mongolia-Interior one minute after the departure, killing all the 53 occupants.
