Chevrolet Niva
History
The Chevrolet Niva (ШевролеНива) is a car model manufactured by the company GM-AVTOVAZ since September 23rd, 2002 and sold under the mark Chevrolet. It is intended only for the markets Russian and other Member States of CEI.
This model is, actually, a Lada Niva 4x4, 5 doors, which one preserved the frame as well as mechanics (by largely modernizing them) and that one transformed into SUV (ВАЗ-2131 Нива ).
Regarded as the Russian car most comfortable, more making safe and most solid, she was a success at the beginning of her marketing. She was SUV more sold on the Russian market in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, the Chevrolet Niva received the title of " Convey cross-country year 2006" in the category of the compact SUV.
The model was modernized in January 2006. In order to examine the reaction of the market, a special version Chevrolet Niva GLX with engine FAM1 1.8 (of Opel origin), with new transmission, ABS and Airbag S.A. launched at the beginning of 2006.
