Chevrolet Classic Six
The Chevrolet Classic Six was the first car of production of the mark Chevrolet, and it was introduced on November 3rd 1911.
Technical capabilities
Classic Six was equipped with an engine six cylinders in T of 4,9 liters, imagined by Louis Chevrolet and his engineers, but was manufactured by the company Mason Motor Company of Detroit. It had three speeds with the floor, four doors and five places sitted. It had also a convertible roof, and had an enlightened tachometer. It could reach the maximum speed of 105 km/h (65 MPH).
Sales
Classic Six was sold for the sum of 2.150$, that is to say much more than its competitor the Modèle T of Ford, which was sold 850$. 2.999 Classic Six were sold in 1912, of the good figures for the time.
Classic Six contemporary
A quite different model now bears the name of Chevrolet Classic Six to the the United States, it is acted in fact of a version of old the Chevrolet Malibu (1997-2003) which was sold until 2006 for the fleets of vehicles.
