Cheap Thrills
Cheap Thrills is the second album of the group Big Brother and The Holding Company, it is the only album of the group with Janis Joplin as singer. The title of the album was in the beginning Dope, Sex and Cheap Thrills but the recording company of the group refused and only the last two words of the title were preserved.
This disc was well sold at the time of its exit, there will remain in the first place of the sales in the United States during 8 weeks, and will remain classified during 66 weeks.
Piece off My Heart will be the only individual one extracted, but it is Summertime which will become the most famous interprétattion of Janis.
Its small pocket, drawn by Robert Crumb, remains one of most famous of this period.
