Chavez, the film

Documentary the Coup d'etat against Chavez (Arte, 2004) or The revolution will not Be televised or Chávez, the film , realized by Kim Bartley and Donnacha O' Briain, was turned whereas the two directors prepared documentary on the president Hugo Chávez with the Venezuela. They were inside the presidential palace when was started, the April 11th 2002, the coup d'etat led by the owners of the private channels, the executives of the oil company of Venezuela, as well as a handle of military leaders with the support, inter alia, of the the United States, the Spain, the Colombia and the El Salvador. The film presents the chronology of the putsch and the mobilization of the million Venezuelans which involved the return to the capacity of Hugo Chávez 48 H after the beginning of the blow, thanks to the presidential guard.

This documentary obtained, inter alia, two prices in Grierson documentary English awards in 2003.
