Chauntéa

Chauntéa (also called, the Large Mother or the Ground-mother ) is a divinity of the countryside of the forgotten Royaumes of the Roleplay Donjons and Dragons. It was created by ED Greenwood and is strongly similar to the Greek divinity Déméter. It is a goddess parallel with Sylvanus, which is regarded as the god of wild nature, whereas Chauntéa deals with the nature more civilized like agriculture for example. It is the divinity of agriculture, the crop plants, the farmers and the summer, and neutral alignment good. It enemy is sworn Talona, Dame of the Stench.

History

It is thought that Chauntéa is one of the most former divinities of Féérune, it was born when Toril was creates during the battle opposing Shar to Séluné. Séluné took it under its wing with the assistance of Mystra. It fought the bad divinities and/or being opposed to nature like Malar and Baine.

Symbol

The symbol of Chauntéa is a pink surrounded by a sheaf of corn.

Daily activities
