Charles Sallandrouze de Lamornaix

Charles-Jean Sallandrouze de Lamornaix , born the March 27th 1808 with Paris, dead the June 13rd 1867 with Paris, is a French industrialist and politician.

Owner of the tapestry workshops of Aubusson and Felletin, in Digs, founded with his father in 1802, it is interested in the economic questions and industrial, publishing in 1829 the Législation of the patents . General adviser of Hollow in 1842, member of the General advice of Arts and manufactures in 1840 and ordering national guard of Aubusson, it is in charge in 1845 by the government of a mission in Spain, in order to study the economic situation there. On its return, it is high with the dignity of knight of the Légion of honor.

The July 9th 1842, it is beaten with the legislative elections by Etienne-Emile Cornudet of Chaumettes in the second college of Hollow, in Aubusson, with 80 votes against 127. Four years afterwards, the 1846, it is elected by 128 votes out of 248 voters and 270 registered voters in the same college against Mr. de Nalèche. With the Room, it is an independent and liberal deputy.

After the revolution of 1848 and the proclamation of the Second Republic, it is elected fifth of the seven representatives of Hollow to the constituent Assembly by 18.949 votes out of 49.820 voters. Sitting on the right, it belongs to the committee of Work. it does not present at the time of the legislative elections of 1849.

Rejoined with the policy of Louis-Napoleon bonaparte, it approves the Coup d'etat of December 2nd, 1851 and is made elect with the legislative Body like candidate of the government in the second district of Hollow the February 29th 1852 by 22.266 votes out of 23.560 voters and 37.951 registered voters, then the June 22nd 1857 by 17.963 votes out of 18.224 voters and 37.254 registered voters and on June 1st 1863 by 17.110 votes out of 18.643 voters and 35.563 registered voters. Member of the majority, it is high with the dignity of officer of the Légion of honor on January 1st 1867. He is also delegated French government to the World Fair of London in 1851 and member of the jury to that of Paris in 1855.
