Charles-François-Xavier Müller

Charles-François-Xavier Müller , born the May 8th 1823 and dead in April 1898 with Boersch, journalist, political economist and writer French.

Biography

It begins as journalist with Strasbourg in the newspaper the Alsace . He collaborated in the Gazette of France , to the Nation , finally came to Laval to take in 1844 the direction of the newspaper the Mayenne , and founded independent the , whose first number appeared on January 1st 1846.

It is there, which burning polemist, distinguished writer, it held head during sixteen years with all the adversaries of legitimacy. It published moreover lampoons full with liveliness.

One sought to ruin it in lawsuit. Often discharged, sometimes gratifié of month of prison, it was not discouraged. Of the nineteen legal proceedings of which it was the object, that of 1849, where the government was linked with Paul Boudet to overpower it, got a triumph against the public prosecutor to him and cost him 5.000 francs of damages to the profit of Mr. Boudet.

The October 26th 1862, Müller took leave of its readers mayennais, affirming its monarchical convictions again, founded in January 1865 Freedom , in November 1871 the Star of Angers, and was withdrawn finally in Boersch where he died chrétiennement in April 1898.
