Channel of Stolpen with Schagen
The Canal of Stolpen with Schagen (in Dutch Kanaal Stolpen-Schagen ) is a court channel Dutch of the Holland-Septentrional .
The channel connects the Canal of the North Sea to Schagen. In its prolongation is the Canal of Schagen with Kolhorn. Sometimes, these two channels are regarded as being only one, the Kanaal Stolpen-Schagen-Kolhorn. This channel was built in the the Thirties of the XXe century, within the framework of a project of the assistance by work . During its construction, the floating Pont in the Channel of the North Sea to Stolpervlotbrug was removed.
On the channel two are located drawbridges. With Schagerbrug, the channel crosses the Grote Sloot.
