Championship of Bahia of football

The Championship of Bahia (in Portuguese: Campeonato Baiano ) is a competition Brésil ienne of Football being held in the State of Bahia and organized by the Fédération of Bahia of football. It is the older second championship of Brazilian State, it was created in 1905. Since this date the championship was played without any interruption.

Organization

The teams are divided into two group of six.

First phase:

the teams of each group clash in matches return ticket.
eliminatory Série return ticket enters the first four clubs of each group.

Second phase:

the teams of each group clash in matches return ticket.
eliminatory Série return ticket enters the first four clubs of each group.

Third phase (if necessary):

eliminatory Série return ticket enters the winners of the first and second phases.

If a club gains the first two phases, he is crowned champion. So not, the third phase determines the champion. The clubs having finished in the last place of the first and second phases clash in eliminatory series outward journey return; the loser is relegated to the lower level. As for the other championships of Brazilian State, the rules are likely to be modified with each beginning of the season.
