Chaba Zahouania

Halima Mazzi alias Chaba Zahouania was born in 1959 with Oran, his/her parents it inhabited the district Médioni, of a Moroccan father and an Algerian mother. She sings the Raï. But it is as singer in a female whole of meddahates which it started. In 1981, it makes its first recording. In 1986, she is its first Raï success with " Kahli ya khali" that she sings in duet with cheb Hamid. Its successes are connected then in the modern register spoke. The shortly after the assassination of her friend Cheb Hasni to Oran on September 29th, 1994, it leaves Algeria and settles in France. In 2007, it tests, on a song, with the Reggada, rate/rhythm cousin born with the Eastern Morocco.
