Cetelem

Cetelem is a French Banque specialized in the Consumer credit. It is a subsidiary company of BNP Paribas. It became N°1 of the consumer credit in continental Europe.

It is about a company multispecialist on his market. Thus Cetelem proposes to the private individuals all the line of goods (ready traditional, ready car, permanent accounts) but also of the complementary services (finance departments with the private individuals, services with the trade, services not - financial) as well in personal use as via partnerships.

Cetelem is a partner of reference for the large signs of the distribution and also for the banking institutions, the insurance companies and the distributers automobile. He brings his know-how as regards appropriations to them, of management of the back-office and the risk. Its development strategy is European and world.

It operates today in 27 countries, including 17 in Europe. Cetelem holds in particular 50% of the capital of Laser (Lafayette Services), and thus of Cofinoga, then a part (33% in 2006) of the capital of CEFI, a subsidiary company of the Groupe Savings bank.

Cetelem currently pursues a strategy of growth abroad, and opened in 2005 a subsidiary company in Algeria and one in Ukraine in December 2006. Cetelem, after an arrival fallen through on the Russian market - the repurchase of a local bank, Standard Russian, had then failed the last moment - is started again in 2007 with the attack of the Russian market, by creating a subsidiary company there.
