Ernest Pérochon (1885 - 1942) is a French writer, Prix Goncourt 1920 for Nêne .

Initially teacher, it leaves teaching for the writing in 1921.

He wrote poems, novels (going realism with the Science fiction), as well as books for children.

Biography of Ernest Pérochon, teacher

Ernest Pérochon was born in 1885 in Courlay, it is Protestant. In 1897, he becomes pupil at the Higher Elementary school of Bressuire; in 1900, at the Teacher training school of Parthenay then associated teacher with Courlay raises. Lastly, it becomes teaching at the Higher Elementary school of Parthenay. It makes its military service with 114e IH (Saint-Maixent) in 1905 and Marie in 1907 with Vanda Houmeau, teacher. He thus moves with Saint-Paul-in-Gâtine where was born his/her single child in 1908, date on which he is also published at Clouzot with Niort. In 1909, it is thus published second once then its first novel the hollows of houses appears in the form of serial in Humanity . In 1914, it becomes again teacher with Vouillé. Mobilized, it makes an heart attack on the face. Its novel " Nêne" at Clouzot a Prix Goncourt is worth to him, in 1921 it decides to leave teaching and settles with Niort. In 1940, he refuses to collaborate with the press of Vichy. Two of its novels are prohibited. He is threatened by the prefect Vichyist and supervised by the Gestapo. He dies the February 10th 1942 of an heart attack at 57 years.
